Alnus oblongifolia  Arizona Alder
DECIDUOUS TREE.  Bright green alternate oval leaves with finely toothed edges.  Gray twigs with prominent lenticels (raised dots).  Clusters of tiny woody, conelike fruits.  A riparian or semi-riparian species.  In the Empires it is uncommon and restricted to a few large washes.
