Amsinckia intermedia  Fiddleneck
ANNUAL.  A bristly plant with terminal coils of golden yellow flowers with 5 petals that are all the same size and shape.  Blooms February-April.  Very common on disturbed ground, roadsides, etc.  Some Cryptantha species look similar but are shorter, with smaller white flowers.
