Bahia absinthifolia  Chalk Daisy
PERENNIAL.  A spring wildflower with pointed, strap-shaped, grayish-green leaves covered with fine white felty hairs.  Flowers are bright golden yellow, on stalks that rise above most of the leaves.  Blooms March-May.  In the Empires, grows on sandy desert flats and limestone gravel.  Abundant in wet years.  Baileya multiradiata is similar but the leaves are lobed and the ray flowers are broader, denser, and have wavy tips.
