Carnegia gigantea  Saguaro
COLUMNAR CACTUS.  In the Empires, this familiar Sonoran Desert icon is near the eastern edge of its range and reaches its upper elevation limit.  It is common on a few steep, rocky, south-facing slopes at low elevations in desertscrub.  Saguaros are also scattered through Davidson Canyon and nearby washes, usually among large outcrops as shown above.
