Chaenactis carphoclinia  Pebble Pincushion
ANNUAL.  White (occasionally pink) flowerheads are 1-2 cm in diameter.  All florets in a flowerhead are the same size.  Leaves are sparse, each with a few stringy lobes.  Blooms in April.  Uncommon in the Empires on gravel ridges and bajadas.
