Dalea mollis  Soft Prairie Clover
PERENNIAL.  Stems prostrate, with flowerheads prostrate or erect.  Leaves slightly silky hairy, edges reddish, not crinkled.  Flowers tricolored in white, yellow, and magenta or purple.  Blooms in April.  A lower desert species, uncommon in the Empires in disturbed gravel flats, dirt roads, etc.
