Dyssodia pentachaeta  Dogweed
ANNUAL.  A tiny plant that grows in hemispherical tufts.  Needlelike leaves are slightly fuzzy.  Flowers have long stalks and seem to float above a cushion of leaves.  Disk flowers golden, ray flowers short, bright yellow.  Very common on disturbed ground, sandy washes, roadsides.
