Linum lewisii  Desert Flax, Lewis Flax
PERENNIAL.  Flowers 2.5 - 3 cm, blue with dark blue veins and yellow centers, flat (not bowl-shaped).  Stems tall and thin, leaves grasslike.  Blooms April-June.  In the Empires, rare in sandy, open areas in desertscrub and desert grassland.  L. pratense has smaller, lighter blue flowers.
