Linum pratense Prairie Flax
PERENNIAL. A long-stemmed plant with a tall, thin, wiry stem
and linear grasslike leaves. Flowers about 2 cm, slightly bowl-shaped,
light blue with darker blue veins and yellow centers, blooming in April.
In the Empires, occasional (may be locally abundant) in desert grassland.
L. lewisii has larger, darker, flatter flowers.
