Mimosa aculeaticarpa var. biuncifera  Wait-A-Minute Bush
DECIDUOUS SHRUB or SMALL TREE.  Paired, flattened, hooked thorns on gray branches.  Leaves bipinnate with crowded segments, falling during drought.  Balls of white flowers in May.  Throughout the Empires in desert grassland, especially on slopes just above dry, narrow washes.  Acacia greggii is similar in winter, but usually grows at lower elevations and thorns are narrower and not paired.
