Morus microphylla  Arizona Mulberry; Texas Mulberry
DECIDUOUS TREE..  A small tree with multiple short trunks and a rounded crown that give it the aspect of an oversized shrub.  Leaves alternate, shiny bright green, toothed, heart-shaped, sometimes divided into 2-5 lobes.  Small yellowish flowers in March-April, small purple berries (aggregates of spherical drupes) in June.  In the Empires, a semi-riparian tree, occasional along washes in thickets or small bosques that usually include canyon hackberry, soapberry, and other trees.
