EPHEMERAL ANNUAL>  Only a few centimeters high and nearly invisible, with tiny 1 cm red-tipped white flowers that seem to float on threadlike stems.  Blooms in April.  In the Empires, occasional on gravel in desert grassland, especially on the banks of small washes.
