Notholaena grayi
XEROPHYTIC FERN. Triangular grayish-green leaves are tripinnate,
with the edges rolled under. Upper surface speckled with white, mealy
farina grains; underside densely coated with white farina. Leaflet
veins have sparse long brown hairlike scales on the underside. In
the Empires, rare in semi-shaded crevices among granite or limestone outcrops
in desert grassland.
