Penstemon dasyphyllus Cochise Penstemon
PERENNIAL. Spikes of large trumpet-shaped flowers have opposite,
dark green, stiff, narrow, grasslike leaves. Flowers bright purplish
blue, washed with pink or violet, bloom April-May. Rare in the Empires
in loose clayey limestone gravel, with Dalea formosa.
