Senna covesii  Desert Senna
PERENNIAL.  A shrubby, thick-stemmed plant with yellow flowers and pinnate leaves that have large grayish-green oval leaflets.  Woody seedpods split open halfway but remain on the stems.  In the Empires, occasional at low elevations in heavy clay-rich soil on bajadas, dirt roads, etc.
