Yucca schottii Mountain Yucca
PERENNIAL. A large yucca with smooth, bluish-green leaves.
White flowers in June, followed by fleshy fruit. Similar to Yucca
baccata but grows taller and leaves are bluer, less stiff, and do not
shred along the sides. Prefers higher elevations than Y. baccata
but the two species are found together in the Empires. Locally common
on steep grassland hillsides.
